Darbas su grupe

Date: 2015-10-17, 11:00

  • Work with group in sauna

Sauna can be seen in many different ways: as a hygienic procedure or as a wellness tool, as a ritual or as a... But there is almost always another aspect - a social one. We rarely go to the sauna alone and almost always bathe in groups. In fact, we already consider a group to be 3 people in the sauna at the same time. As the sauna procedure is quite complex and has a complex impact (heat, humidity, the logic of the procedure, people's mood, their health problems and their preferences), it is rarely without a sauna attendant to guide, moderate or at least ensure the safety of the procedure. Therefore, the sauna practitioner must not only be familiar with the subtleties of a personal sauna treatment, but also know how to adapt it to a group of people - to the satisfaction of all.

Nowadays, it is more common for sauna practitioners not to work with sauna communities in the traditional sense, but rather to lead sauna groups that have been formed on one basis or another. And here a number of challenges and problems arise:

How to plan a sauna treatment if there are more than 4 clients and you can't do personal treatments for everyone?
How do you understand what the clients want from you?
What if the group is very large (e.g. 20 or 30 people)?
How do you deal with a group of people with different expectations (e.g. men want one thing, women another)?
How does the behaviour and posture of the bath attendant affect the well-being of the clients?
How to coordinate actions when working in a team?
Is it always necessary to follow the classic sauna scenario?
How to glue the individual "sauna operations" into a coherent and logical whole?
What if everyone wants to be cleaned up, but neither the energy nor the time is really enough?
How to deal with aggressive, inadequate, depressed or otherwise problematic clients when you cannot give them personal attention?

This practical topic answers these questions and polishes specific skills. The topic is aimed at those who are already familiar with the most important sauna processes and procedures. It provides a practical introduction to the organisation and management of the group process, learning to recognise and deal with various problematic situations, and the basics of sauna ethics.
