We are continuing our studies as a family bath attendant. This meeting is for those who have already taken the Introduction to Bathroom Work course and want to continue their studies and learn how to professionally bathe. So we invite you to take the first step by attending a workshop on effective basic bathing techniques.
Effective bathing requires learning
During the sauna evening, sauna master and head of the Lithuanian Sauna Academy Rimas Kavaliauskas will present effective techniques for easy bathing, share his years of experience in ergonomic bathing, and teach you how to bathe easily, simply, and yet professionally.
Seminar content
Effective bathing techniques
At the workshop, you will learn how to:
- how to let off steam efficiently and warm up important parts of the body
- touch the body twice in one gesture
- Gentle bathing and rough bathing
- consciously manage the effects of bathing on the person
- turn bathing into a communication tool
- Learn the basic effective bathing movements
You will take another important step towards sauna mastery..
Classical whisking
We take the view that classical whisking is a minimum of a full body bath, with the baths warming the whole body evenly. Full body means the back and front of the body will be bathed. Minimal means that the most efficient and ergonomic bathing strategy is chosen.
Each bath can be performed using a variety of techniques, depending on the person doing the bath. We will build on the set of effective bathing techniques that you learnt in the "Bathing essent" workshop and add this one on top of that.
We will also pay much more attention to the self-protection of the bathers and to the steam strategy for bathing. We will also learn how to bathe the front side of the body and individual parts of the body, and we will continue to develop our bathing technique.
Seminar content
- Warm-up, answers to questions
- Body heating strategies in classical bathing
- Bathing demonstration
- Individual training: butterfly bathing, foot bathing with support, thigh bathing, compresses, face bathing.
- Individual student bathing and comments.
