Sauna stove or furnace is said to be the "heart of the bath". Its heat determines the purpose of the sauna, and its beating determines the progress and healthiness of the treatment. Put a weak or too powerful heart in the body and the body becomes disabled. We see this a lot today, with many saunas where it is very difficult to create a good microclimate for people to bathe and wake up. The fashion for quick-heating sauna-drying rooms has spread. Quick-heat baths are destroying our nation's bathing heritage, just as fast-food restaurants are destroying our national cuisine. They no longer provide the conditions for nurturing the unique characteristic of the Lithuanian sauna - the sensitisation and cleansing of the body with the natural vapours of indigenous plants.
In this seminar we will talk about the deep tradition of wood-burning stoves dating back to prehistoric times. In the past, children learned about the stove by watching Mummy putting the Gabi-fire on the hearth. The fire was sacred and the stove was her home. A home should be cosy and safe. What kind of home is needed for a sauna fire? In this workshop we will answer this question.

When we talk about the furnace, we start with its meaning. He who knows the meaning knows what he is doing. He will no longer be tempted by "quick and efficient baths", but will continue to search for his own roots, his family and his tribe. Once we understand what a stove means, we will understand what it means to "raise steam", "pour steam". What steam is and what it is for in a sauna.

We will talk about the sauna stove as a secret and the oldest energy-producing device. In the time since man's journey from the stone axe to orbiting lasers, the sauna heater has changed very little. Is it really that perfect, or are we not clever enough?
Heating of the sauna.
In this workshop we will try to understand how sauna stoves are built and how they work. What are their types and the basics of their construction. Finally, what are the practical advantages. How to heat them. Which sauna stove to choose. The seminar is part of the compulsory training programme for sauna professionals and is highly recommended for those planning to build or renovate a sauna, as it provides answers to the most important challenges of choosing and building a sauna stove in a simple and concise way.
